Hey Y'all. I'm Briana Lennet. An applied anthropologist, expat, and international traveler.
I help people explore the world as a local by sharing cultural and off-the-beaten-path experiences. I provide vicarious adventure for those unable to travel and work to inspire others to explore the world.
I started this site because growing up I didn't know many people who look like me living abroad, learning foreign languages, and building cross-cultural relationships. Sharing the black expat experience, especially that of a solo female traveler shows that minorities also have passports and can live their best lives even if they are alone.
Throughout this site, you will learn more about how different societies live, as well as gain travel tips and tricks for different countries. You will also get insight on the expat experience from my Day In The Life and reflection videos, which are helpful for anyone interested in moving abroad themselves.
